Chelsea’s work Cabinet of Curiosities is named the winner of the Key City Winds inaugural composition competition. She will be traveling to Abiliene, TX for a brief residency at ACU in January 2019, and the piece will be performed on the Church of the Heavenly Rest Chamber Music Series (1/27/19).
The short film My Million Dollar Mom was nominated for seven awards at the festival, including Best Music (including an original acoustic score by Chelsea Komschlies). It took home the award for Best Drama.
The Arborist, the Alchemist for organ, harpsichord, and orchestra was one of two honorable mentions in the 2018 Red Note Composition Competition, orchestra division, out of 149 entries from 20 countries.
