Jupiter, Colossus was written between December 2016 and February 2017, during the time when NASA’s Juno probe was in the midst of its first orbits around Jupiter. I wanted to commemorate this feat of scientific and technological achievement, as I believe space exploration is one of our greatest accomplishments as a human race and deserves to be celebrated and continued. The piece draws heavily from the style of film score, which was one of my first musical loves.
